The recipes Morgan find and pries out of restaurant owners and cooks will have you running for you skillet to recreate at home.

When one just isn’t enough, you’ll need to tuck into the hundreds of Southern dishes in this, Morgan’s bestselling book.  In its fourth printing, hundreds of thousands of readers made Second Helpings #1 on Amazon and Publisher’s Weekly.  Dig in and you’ll see why: easy-to-follow recipes and hints from the working chefs that made them famous.

For the most mouthwatering, fascinating and awe-inspiring meals, the smallest hole-in-the-wall joints, diners and dives often offer the biggest flavor.  Combine that with a travel writer who knows the South—from Dallas to D.C. to Daytona—like the back of his hand and insightful facts about the South’s best- and least-known destinations, and you’ve got Southern Living Off the Eaten Path.  A treasure trove of “best kept secrets,” this book will inspire culinary action—whether that’s jumping in your car and heading right to the Pie Lab in Greensboro, Ala. or hitting the kitchen to recreate Pie Lab’s magical peach pie yourself.

By award-winning travel writer Morgan Murphy, and featuring a foreword by famed Southern novelist Fannie Flagg, this book touches upon Southern history, delightful personal stories, and interesting tales for how these well-loved restaurants came to be, visiting 75 dives and serving up recipes for 150 coveted menu items.

I Love You Now Hush Cover

Bestselling humorist Melinda Rainey Thompson and Morgan Murphy team up to deliver a hilarious take on everything from asking for directions to the meaning of the word “fine.”

Thompson opens each chapter with the fairer sex’s point point of view, which Murphy counters with a gentleman’s take.  You can almost smell the bourbon, cigar smoke, and sarcasm.

From the Writer’s Forum: “The two writers make a great team, working off each other’s natural gift for humor while creating a truly hysterical read.”
